Creating Safety in the Body Through Self-Consent

We talk about consent in the context of how we relate to and connect with other people, but we don’t always discuss self-consent. Having a consensual relationship with ourselves allows us to consent to interactions with others (or not) wholeheartedly. Self-consent means recognizing our body’s inner sense of ‘yes’ and ‘no’, and understanding our desires, motivations, needs, and limits.
